Mallorca is still one of the most popular holiday destinations in Europe due to a lovely climate, great hospitality, wonderful beaches, beautiful scenery and a diversity of resorts and attractions. The Magalluf Playa Apartments are right in the heart of Magalluf, Mallorca’s most lively and popular resort. Magalluf is situated at approximately 12 km from the historical city of Palma and just 20 km. away from the airport. Magalluf is a lively holiday town which suits all ages and tastes. It boasts a fabulous beach, with a promenade along the entire length. The beach has sun-beds, parasols and pedaloes for those that want to laze away or you can choose something more active like fishing, snorkelling, jet-skis, parasailing, scuba diving..... Along the beach there are a myriad of bars, restaurants and shops – just take your pick! NIGHT AMBIENCE Magalluf is still the party capital of Mallorca and for the club scene you will find some of Europe’s top D.J.’s. The clubs will bring you all the latest tunes and even take you back to the old school. Most of the clubs and disco pubs are at a 3 minutes walk in Torre Nova. BCM, one of Europe’s largest and most renowned discotheques, is right next door to the Magalluf Playa Apartments. There are spectacular laser shows, top international DJs, foam parties, water parties... ATRACTIONS Many of the most popular attractions in Mallorca are based near Magalluf, and most of these are within walking distance. The Western Water Park, which is a water park with a Wild West theme, the Aqualand and the Go Karting are only a 10 minutes walk away and offer great fun for all. Also, there is the Bungee Rocket (human catapult) for the more daring, the Pirates Adventure cabaret attraction offers special nights for families and “adults only”, the glass-bottom boat. The nearby village of Portals Nous hosts the popular Marineland, which has dolphin, sea-lion and parrot shows, aquariums (etc). Golf Fantasia is in Palma Nova and offers three 18-hole mini golf courses, all set in beautiful gardens with ponds and waterfalls. There are a number of markets on the island to visit and Magalluf hosts a car-boot sale every Saturday morning. For over 18s only, the Casino is approximately 6 km away (a passport is required). Mallorca hosts many beautiful golf courses and three of the most well known are in the local district of Calvià. Further afield, Mallorca is a beautiful and very diverse island and is well worth a visit. If you feel adventurous, hiring a car is an excellent way of seeing the whole picture. If not, there are many excursions that can be booked according to your individual taste. |
